Made for the unfamiliar

What is hōjicha?

Hōjicha is a Japanese green tea, toasted over charcoal until the leaves turn amber and honeyed. We grind ours to a fine powder and soften it with Madagascan vanilla — so you whisk it like matcha, pour over the milk of your choice, and skip the brewing entirely.

From leaf to powder

We toast the leaves over charcoal, then grind them to a fine powder — softened with Madagascan vanilla for a subtle sweetness.

Naturally low caffeine

Gentler than coffee. The toasting process lowers caffeine, so the lift is calm — never wired.

Smoother than matcha

No bitterness, no grit. Hōcha is creamy and rounded with the depth of a slow afternoon.

Whisked, not brewed

Spoon, whisk, pour over your milk of choice. The ritual takes ninety seconds — no steeping, no timers.

The feeling

Two cups. Two energies.

Both wake you up. Only one lets you stay yourself.
